NSCG  PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE PORTFOLIO

'Snow White and the Seven Dames' - NSCG Panto 2019

For the 2019 Panto, I was not involved in performing, this was all down to Level 3 students, but I came back being involved in Panto as a HNC/D student. My role in the 2019 Panto was again the Assistant Director, with my tutor actually writing the panto herself this gave me an opportunity of helping direct a production which a college lecturer has written herself. During the performances I was on hand back stage to make sure that everything  was running smoothly.

'80's Prom Gone Bad' - NSCG HNC/D Murder Mystery 2019

Every year HNC/D students have to do a murder mystery as part of their course, the 2019 murder mystery, us students had to write and devised the whole murder mystery story ourselves, the only things we were given was a brief outline of what we needed to include and also who the murderer is.

I played one of the baseball players known as Simon Swing.

'Grease Is The Word' - NSCG Level 3 Final Major Performance 2018/2019

At the end of each academic year, both the level 3s and the HNC/D put on two different FMPs. One for HNC/D and another one for level 3. Last years Level 3 FMP was that of Grease Is The Word.

I have the privilege to not perform in the production but to take on the role of Assistant Director. This was a role that I had always wanted to have and I am grateful to of been this role.

'Directors Season 2018'

As part of my Level 3 course I had to perform in a few abstracts of plays/tv shows or musicals all which had to be under fifteen minutes each. Below are the plays/films/tv shows that I had to act on stage for and who I played in each one:

'Table' - Played the role of Antony

'Lord of The Flies' - Played the role of Piggy

'Pulp Fiction' - Played the role of Pumpkin

'Confusions'

As part of my Level 3 course I had to perform this famous play by the playwright Alan Ayckbourn.

The scene which I was part of was the final scene where public members are sitting  on the benches in the park, each in turn have to say a monologue, I adapted my character a little as in the original play the character is known as 'Beryl' but in our version I changed the gender and called the character 'Barry'

'Tea Dance' 2018

Every year NSCG Performing Arts Centre put on a show known as a Tea Dance, in 2018 it was no different. As part of my Level 3 Course, I had to perform at the tea dance, this is me as a solider (I am the one on the left), in this story I am a solider who is sent to the trenches and step on a land mine, the other two cadets then have to tell the family.

'Jacks Giant Adventure' - NSCG Panto 2018

This was the Christmas panto for 2018 at the Newcastle Performing Arts Centre. I had to perform in the panto as part of the Level 3 assessment process. I was honoured and lucky enough to have one of the principal characters for the panto, I was one of the narrators for the story and dressed up as a Wizard.

'4:48 Psychosis' & 'Pomona'

These two performance were also for my Level 3 course and were performed both on the same night.

Many people say that 4:48 Psychosis was that of the suicide note of Sarah Kane herself while others disagree. In the college production of 4:48 I played the mentally ill patient in the final few scenes and had to fake my own suicide on stage.

In Pomona, which is a unique version of D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) I played the role of Charlie (The Dungeon Master) in the scene of the big game of D&D.
